Easy, Healthy Cooking with Beaba

As a parent, ensuring our little ones have a healthy diet packed with nutrition is always a priority. And now more than ever, keeping our kids’ health and immunity in check is imperative.

No brand understands this better than French pioneer, Beaba. It’s iconic Babycook is the modern solution to home made cooking and owes it’s cult status to the 4-in-1 design that steams, blends, reheats and defrosts baby food. These 4 settings eliminate the need for pots, pans, blenders or microwaves, making baby food as simple as possible!

The soft steam option not only allows you to preserve the nutritional quality of ingredients, but also collect the right amount of cooking juice to create the perfect blend for your little one! As your baby grows older, the requirement will change from fine purée to chunkier textures. The Babycook supports parents in adapting to the different stages of food through the ‘pulse/blend’ feature. This ensures your baby is getting the correct consistency of baby food at every age.

Between Zoom meetings, household chores and baby crying, we need something to do the job quickly. One feature that is really impressive is the steam cooking system being able to turn off automatically! This way, you never have to be worrying about overcooking your baby’s food and you’re not constantly standing around the kitchen watching over the Babycook. You can easily do a few tasks around the house or get back on your work call, worry-free, as your baby’s food is being prepared to utmost perfection.

So how does it work? It’s pretty straightforward.

Cut up your choice of fruits and vegetables into cubes and toss them into the bowl. Follow the instruction booklet and fill the correct amount of water in the tank, and press that cooking button. Then all you have to do is sit back and relax as it automatically turns off, so your fruit and veg would never be overcooked. Once it’s done, just pour, serve and bon appetit!

Weaning questions answered

Weaning your baby onto solids is both an exciting and nerve wracking experience. While it’s magical to see your tot eat food for the first time, you may also feel apprehensive about allergies, choking hazards and whether or not your baby is receiving enough nutrients. To give you a nudge in the right direction we’ve teamed up with Chirin Kawatmi, the founder of popular mum and baby subscription service, Mama’s Box. The Dubai-based mum-of-two is passionate about weaning and runs baby weaning cookery classes. On May 16th she’ll be running one of her seminars at our Al Safa Store, so in preparation for that we decided to pick her brains on how to introduce solids to your baby. Here’s what she had to say.

8 Top Tips For Weaning

Now four months old, my little one seems to be getting irritated at sitting in her bouncer while we eat. To placate her we’ve invested in a Beaba Babyboost Seat and she now joins us at the table. With a plastic cup and spoon to keep her occupied, she seems much happier to be involved, but it has also served as a reminder that before long she won’t be content simply to watch mealtimes, she’ll want to be part of them… Enter weaning.
